The inaugural Web Summit Rio was a huge hit. With more than 21,000 attendees from 91 countries in attendance – alongside 974 startups, 506 investors and 173 event partners – we think the stats speak for themselves.
Top speakers from business and society joined us at Rio de Janeiro’s Riocentro over the three-day event. From Black Lives Matter’s Ayọ Tometi and Revolut founder and CEO Nik Storonsky to Renegade Partners’ Renata Quintini, they shared their insights about where the world of tech is going.
Our massive investor and startup community also spent three bustling event days networking and making deals, ensuring the next generation of innovative ideas make it to the global market.
Now that our first thrilling Brazilian tech event is over, it’s time to look forward to the next chapter: Web Summit Rio 2024, returning to Riocentro from April 15-18.
Web Summit Rio 2024 will feature expert talks uniting business leaders, cultural icons and global policymakers, as well as interactive Q&As, masterclasses, and speaker experiences.
Away from the stage, you’ll meet tech enthusiasts from all over the world as you explore the city of Rio and its world-class dining options, cultural treasures and breathtaking scenery.
And, before we return to Rio de Janeiro, we launch another brand-new event: Web Summit Qatar – our first event in the Middle East – takes place in the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center from March 4-7, 2024.
